The phacoemulsification (Phaco) handpiece is an integral
device used by ophthalmologists in conjunction with the phaco machine
to extract cataracts. The handpiece uses electrical energy converted
to mechanical energy (ultrasonics), and irrigation/aspiration to
breakup and remove the cataract.
Our rebuild service includes a detailed and comprehensive procedure
of the disassembly, repair and testing of the handpiece that meets
the manufacturers specifications. This process includes the replacement
of the piezo electric crystals, electrodes, o-rings, moulded strain
relief, cable and connector.
The handpiece undergoes strict quality control inspection and testing
to verify that the handpiece meets or if not exceeds the original
manufacturers (OEM) standards and specifications.
Our rebuild service can save your institution thousands of dollars
over the price of buying a new handpiece. We offer a six-month warranty
with the option to purchase an optional nine or twelve month warranty
at an additional cost.
We can perform a rebuild on all makes and models of phaco handpieces
manufactured by: Alcon, AMO, Chiron, Starr and Storz.
